What is a WrenchReport?
A report on one specific vehicle build, built from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's public records. We read the owner complaints and recall campaigns filed for that year, make and model, then group them into the failure patterns that repeat. A one-time payment of $5.99 unlocks the full report for one VIN.
What does the report tell me that a free search does not?
The complaint database is thousands of pages of unstructured text. We pull it, clean it, count it, and weight it by severity with realistic repair cost ranges. The paid report also includes the Walkaround Check: what to look for on that specific vehicle before you hand over money.
What a WrenchReport is NOT
It is not an accident history report, and it is not a mechanic. We have never touched this car. Read it alongside a history report and, for a purchase you are unsure about, a pre-purchase inspection.
How does the 5-report pack work?
You pay $25 once and get a permanent link to your pack. Each VIN you run on that link unlocks a full report and uses one of the 5 credits. The link never expires, so bookmark it. Looking at five cars this month is where the pack pays for itself.
When does a credit not get used?
If a vehicle is too new or too rare to have a meaningful federal record, we tell you so for free — no report is generated and no credit is burned. You only pay for verdicts the data can actually support.
What is the refund policy?
If a report you paid for never unlocks, or it comes back for the wrong vehicle, we refund you in full — no questions. Because the report is delivered instantly as content, we do not refund “I changed my mind”, but everything above is guaranteed.
How do I reach a human?
Email wrenchreport@nanocorp.app from the address on your receipt. If something went wrong with a payment, include the receipt and we will make it right.
